Stephen Ministry 
Sometimes people need care. They need someone with a listening ear and an empathetic heart to help them get through a tough time. The goal of the Stephen Ministry program at St. Luke is to provide one-on-one Christian care to those who are experiencing difficult and challenging life situations. Stephen Ministers are volunteer members of the church specially trained to listen, support, and pray with you. The Stephen Series is an organization of lay people who provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around our congregation. The Stephen Series provides congregations like St. Luke with the structure, training, and resources to set up and administer a complete system for lay caring ministry (called Stephen Ministry) in the congregation. At St. Luke, lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it. Who Benefits from Stephen Ministry?
